By day i work in the wonderful world of the web where I design, build, and manage online strategies for companies, including Search Engine Optimization, Social Media, Usability, the technologies behind them all, and pieces of common sense that combine it all together to make the web a wonderful place for us all live (in a SecondLife kinda way). Music makes me smile... and it has since my earliest memories of hearing Sesame Street songs played on my parent's 8-track; since the first song I remember hearing on the radio ("Owner of a Lonely Heart" by Yes); since my defiant statement of: I WILL NOT PLAY THE PIANO (I didn't want to do the same thing my sisters did ... despite my profound love for the soothing timbre of the ivory keys hitting the internal cables); since the day I picked up a guitar for the first time and since 2 days after when I became a bass player because my best friend Kevin pointed out that "Everyone plays guitar"; since the day I impulsively bought a banjo and attended my first open-bluegrass jam a week later; since the day I had one of my developers bring me a hand-made Bolivian Charango back from his trip to South America; since the day my band Evey's Late Night Dinner played a short set at my wedding and the crowd and DJ demanded we play 3 more songs; since today when the familiar sounds of The Beatles and Tom Waits and The Black Crowes and Hot Rize and John Coltrane and The Devil Makes Three and Jet and The Duhks and Alberto Rigoni and Crooked Still and Phish and Led Zeppelin and whatever else shuffled thru my Pandora.com station crashed through my soul like the morning sun breaking through the dawn.
