Loved and had a passion for listening to music since I was 4 or 5 watching my parents brush back living room furniture to jitterbug to Frank, Artie, Tommy and Duke. I can honestly say I love it all (with the exception of burnt out hair bands of the 80's.) I have a fondness for vocalists who can really wind out a graceful note and have a good rasp at the end. My taste rolls from old soul and r & b to Peter Gabriel/Roxy Music to The Black Keyes/Alicia Keyes and further to Joni-and her followers Amy and Adele; and even back as far as Billie Holiday (whom I declare was arguably the greatest jazz vocalist of all time) and Lester. It's tough for me to answer this question, because when I see my choices in writing, I feel like I know I've missed something I adore. But anyway-that's a slice. Really enjoy experiencing Pandora while I work. It's in the background, and I find myself listening and something will catch my ear and..."Wow, that was surprising!". I love those surprises!! I love to learn about new artists all the time and Pandora helps someone like me - with 2 kids and a full time job - do just that.
