Grew up in the 80's. The bronx was alive with hip-hop! The Fat Boys were know as The Disco Three then. I remember being at block parties and we were coppin power for the mics and turntables off of the light poles man. The Supreme Team was not f**kin around dawg!..Van Cortland Pool was the place to be in the summer. At your own risk of course. If you know about Van Cortland pool you werent worried about the water. I remember living on Kingsbridge Terrace and a couple buildings down the block, Poochie, A.K.A. DJ Kid Capri was up at the crack of dawn punishin those turntables! Sometimes I would just chill out and listen! That man stayed with it and it payed off. I ran in the streets like I didnt give a f*%#! Lookin for a breakdance battle to get into. Scarface and Purple Rain came out. We used to sneak into the movies on Fordham Rd. University Ave. Breakin Night at Pope Park. Man I could go on for ever!!!
