I'm a 37 year old interactive media professional by day and reside in southern Illinois. When I'm not knee deep in new media project development, sales management and training, I spend a considerable amount of my time talking, writing and educating about my passion - craft and specialty beer. I have been a devoted fan and proponent of better beer for over 15 years and have garnered a considerable amount of industry experience I now apply to all of my writing and consultant work.
I document my passion routinely under the moniker "the Beer Philosopher" on www.beerphilosopher.com. I am also a blog personality and Beer Styles writer for Beer Connoisseur Magazine and beerconnoisseur.com.
I also serve as a freelance beer retailing and event consultant and host for regional retail and restaurant establishments interested in offering or expanding their craft and specialty beer portfolio. I work closely with a number of regional wholesalers/distributors and can assist with purchasing, display and event promotions.
In 2008, I founded the Aleuminati - a comprehensive social network of 3,000 + members dedicated to the terrific culture of better beer worldwide. The Aleuminati has been called the "Facebook for beer geeks," and many of the networking and collaborative opportunities available on the larger social networks are also aoffered free of charge to interested and devoted fans of craft beer on the Aleuminati. You can visit our (not so) secret society of better beer drinkers at www.aleuminati.com.
I am a member of the American Homebrewers Association, a Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone Certification Program and a homebrewer of questionable talent.
