I don't go a day without listening to music! My tastes are quite varied . . I love rock and pop from the early 1960's (not a Beatles fan though, strange as it may be!) My initial station on Pandora is built around my all-time favorite group, The Ronettes. In fact, Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" is my favorite genre from that decade. My second favorite sound is '80's rock . . A *very* close second that is pretty equal to my love for the '60's. Aside from that, my tastes include many styles of music . . I've finally reached that middle age of life where I find myself repeating what my parents used to say: "The music these kids listen to nowadays!!" However, there are a small handful of current artists/songs that I do like, though . . The group Coldplay comes immediately to mind. Other styles that I like are classical (of course), big band swing, classic rock and even '70's disco (Please don't hate me!) The only music that I tend to avoid is any type of country and rap (although I have heard some hip-hop that I really don't mind . . Don't get me wrong, I do not begrudge anyone the type of music that they like, it's just not for me. This may sound a bit ironic as I am no fan of country, but I do love the sound of Cajun two-step. Even I find that fact interesting! ;-) I know that I'm forgetting to mention this or that genre, but I think this covers the bulk of my favorites.
