I like to think I'm a connoisseur of electronic music though I like many other forms of non synthesized music and or combinations of both. I really appreciate the music genome and as such try to categorize my stations in the most objective way possible. I have a pretty specific aesthetic when it comes to the music I like to listen to. I like music with complex harmony and simplified melody or anything with prominent rhythmic structure and emphasis on motif. I simply prefer music whose compositions have more space between notes, or a fuller range of timbre and harmony as apposed to a more dynamic melody. This is unless this dynamic comes from a rhythmic structure. this is why when it comes to jazz and orchestral music I have a hard time enjoying some of the classics as I prefer the less dynamic yet robust compositions of modern movie scores and experimental jazz. Swing and big band are exceptions as I enjoy the rhythms and solid sound of brass orchestras.
I also have this thing for detuned saw chords.
