My tastes are pretty eclectic, and I owe it, mostly, to my Dad! As kids growing up, Dad played everything from classical music, to Nat King Cole, to Miles Davis, to the Rolling Stones and the Guess Who. And of course, we also got plenty of música criolla Venezolana, plus some wonderful flamenco. (Dad was teaching himself to play flamenco, he taught me how to read music so I could play Bach on the guitar!)
Mom loved pop music, and of course all the musicals! Frank Sinatra, Glen Campbell, Nat King Cole and Johnny Cash were some of her favorites.
An Egyptian friend played a CD that he said I would love, and I did.....that same week, Dad gave me a CD of Bebo & Cigala, the very same CD my friend had played for me...been loving it ever since. I turned him on to Michael Bublé this past year, he's loving his music!
