MY ONE MINUTE PANDORA TUTORIAL
Its free to get a username and save my stations and create your own. If you click to play any of my stations it will add it to your list of stations. If you don't like the direction a playlist is going you can either refresh your browser or close and restart your browser, it will recalculate the station parameters and come up with a new direction.
I have spent a lot of time crafting stations to be unique and fun, you will find a lot of music you may never have heard of. But with Pandora you never know what it will play and that's half the fun! The ones I have worked on the most include:
'Tiki Foxtrot' - Crazy menehune vintage big band with a tropical Flavor. An attempt to blend early exotic big band/jazz music with exotica and Hawaiian crossed with Ragtime. This is what's spinning when I'm mixing Mai Tais in my tiki bar. It's my favorite station because it spins all over the map and plays some really surprising things!
'Va Va Voom' - Vibrant Jazz, Swing and Blues as voiced by the mistresses of the microphone.
'Cocktails and Canoodling' - The classic male singers swinging and singing, an aphrodisiac for the blahs.
"Hillbillies ansd Cowpokes" - Early Texas Swing, Blue Grass and vintage Country with an emphasis on Bob Wills & his Texas Playboys, Tennesee Ernie Ford, and Johnny Cash.
"Dirty Down Blues" - From the earliest Blues influences of the 1920's to the height of the Blues in the 60's, this station serves biggest and brashest Blues north of the Mason Dixon line.
'Alt Folky Sound' - Bringing together elements of the modern folk singers and what's called 'alt country' (never understood this name). Focus on my favorite modern artist, Ryan Adams.
"Mod Rad & Bumpin" - My take on the better dance and electronica on the dance floor and chill lounge.
'Punkishness and NewWaviness' - I lived through it and hindsight is 20/20. Some of the stuff I have re-discovered and re-loved recently.
