I was born into music in the 80's when music was at its worst. I quickly fell in love with Huey Lewis and the News, which was the 1st band I really felt powerfully about even though I was merely 7 or 8 years old. After a brief flirtation with artists such as Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson, I found myself in the right place to experience the birth of grunge rock with some of my all-time favorite bands such as Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins. This progressed into a love of Metallica that remains to this day. However, as I've grown older I have also grown to embrace the lighter more electronic sounds of Death Cab for Cutie and Imogen Heap along with the placid female tones of Rachael Yamagata, and Dido. Musically, my tastes are ever evolving and I feel as I grow as a person my musical preferences tend to evolve with them.
