Puerto Rican singer Ramito began his career after participating in a local troubadours contest in 1932, getting a deal to start singing professionally shortly after. For a period of time the artist was performing traditional Latin tunes in a local radio station, later hosting his own show called La Hora del Volante, reaching the climax of his career while participating in New York's WHOM show La Montaña Canta. Flor Morales Ramos, also known as "El Cantor de la Montaña," passed away in 1990, leaving behind an important legacy for the Puerto Rican culture. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi

I grew up in Chicago and used to listen to this music as a little boy watching my grand father Don Gregorio go into a trance as he listened to the sweet mountain music that I have loved as a child. I used to watch the funny faces my children made as I played this wonderful music. Now there happy to hear this music as it reminds them of our Isla Y La Navidad. Amor
