Puerto Rican singer Ramito began his career after participating in a local troubadours contest in 1932, getting a deal to start singing professionally shortly after. For a period of time the artist was performing traditional Latin tunes in a local radio station, later hosting his own show called La Hora del Volante, reaching the climax of his career while participating in New York's WHOM show La Montaña Canta.
