Boston, MA trio Revocation is comprised of vocalist/guitarist David Davidson, vocalist/bassist Anthony Buda, and drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne -- all of whom showcase incredible dexterity at their chosen instruments, even by heavy metal standards, and came together as a group in 2005. Armed with a super-technical thrash/death metal style prizing virtuosity as much as heaviness and aggression, the group soon began attracting A&R men from numerous labels with their self-released Summon the Spawn EP (2006) and Empire of the Obscene album (2008). They eventually decided to sign with Relapse Records, and delivered their second full-length, Existence Is Futile, in September 2009, also to very positive reviews. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
Metal that chews up and spits out all that mainstream b/s most people listen to, thats what you'll find here, so sit back, and listen to one of the greatest fùçking bands of extradimensional awesomeness known as Revocation

Metal-core is more popular than it has ever been. When one considers the exponential increase in the population, its impossible for any genre not to expand in popularity, unless the music style completely dies out---impossible.
Mark "and other things" its a pretty f**king good record assuming what you think is true which by the quote mentioned above i hesitate to say you know much more then the amount of talent you say this band has. Not to mention the fact that AC/DC made it to the top with Luck and originality not Musicianship! Music is more then Luck and originality its also about Music-ianship. Funny the first part kinda hints that its apart of music.
who is this mark a**hole.....this band is great, best straight up metal...besides dismantle the dictator, the song's different but still rules...anywho best straight up metal band in a long time.
Exhumed Identity is one of my currently most-listened-to songs, beause it's just so damn interesting. There are death-style guitars without it ever getting boring or ploddy, then cool-as-hell thrashy solos, and a sense of playfulness in shouting "GUITAR!" before the solo. I can't wait to see them pull it off live.
