I love this song, some young lady sang this in The Voice and her rendition was heart-breaki n g l y beautiful. I wish I could here that rendition again...can' t even remember her name, but definitely remember the way she sang this song.

One year i sang back-up to this song live with my twin sister on our Birthday... after a few brewskies!!! it was Wild! :-)
The way I understand it is that Gram actually recorded the song with the Flying Burrito Brothers before the Stones did their version. He had been very influenced by the Stones and the Stones (mainly Keith) had been impressed with Gram's knowledge of country music. Jagger / Richards composition but you can definitely hear Gram's influence.
