WOW! Now this tribute album has taken me by surprise. Simply superb & a well deserved acknowlegdge m e n t to one of the greatest creative duos of all time Fagan & Becker plus guest crew, STEELY DAN! ; )

come on, does it get any better than steely tunes; no matter who plays them...?

Regardless of who you hear, I think Mr. Fagen and Mr. Becker would be proud!

wish they had taken more chances. This is so similar to the originals (which were so exquisitely produced) that I merely want to find my old Aja album...

@Gustavo Inzillo
Sounds absolutely nothing like Mike Stern (on the track Aja at least.) It's Al Di Meola on that track; it's pretty difficult to confuse such drastically different guitarists. Though, I don't know how many tracks from that album are on Pandora; possibly you heard one featuring Mike Stern.

What a good sound, all of the guitarists sound amazing but I have to give it up to my left handed bass compadre Jimmy Haslip... his tone sounds amazing and his playing is top notch!!

@tonyr - Vinnie Colaiuta is just crushing it. Unmistakeabl e sound. Love it!

Love the band and the music

That sounds like Mike Stern to me, definitely not Al Di Meola.

Maybe just a touch of Santana/Spir o Gyra...

O.k. I'm hearing some Larry Carlton, Special EFX, and some Rippington essence in this one, I like, I like!

This is Al di Meola, not the Royal Dan

WOW!!!

Jeff Richman also did a similar style "Tribute" to the music of John Coltrane called "A Guitar Supreme." That is perhaps an even better album.

I also have a disk of Covers by the Hoops McCann Band that some of you may like.

They are not really a "band". They are a collection of some the greatest guitarists around. Steve Morse, Robben Ford, etc. that got together to make this great album. Guitar Nine records is the label.
