I ran into him in New York and again in Puerto Rico. If you Love Salsa, then you will fLl in Love with this Artist, no matter who he sang with or his own band. May he have a rich and blessed life. We have our own and rather unique style of music which is known and enjoyed all around the world, especially by those who know and appreciate the exquisite. The comparison/e q u a t i o n / a n a l o g y with Bruce Springsteen is really unnecessary. Ruben Blades is the voice, our voice, and he is who he is and he sings what he sings. I don't think Blades needs to be compared with Springsteen. Evolve...and be creative when writing, and try to avoid the shortcuts.
