British singer/songwriter Russ Ballard, born in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, was the lead singer of Argent, for whom he wrote the hit "God Gave Rock and Roll to You." He has balanced a solo career with a songwriting career, the latter producing such hits as Three Dog Night's "Liar" and Hot Chocolate's "So You Win Again." His only U.S. singles chart entry under his own name is "On the Rebound," which hit number 58 in 1980. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
Miami Vice ,Voices I did not see the credits drove me crazy trying to find out who sang it 2 yrs. later in a used record shop album cover got my attention .50 I found my "Voices"!I think "The Fire Still Burns" is his best I've worn out two tapes. Tapes? I don't play the album vinyl is hard to find. His music stays with the times
bobbaft - Thanks for your juvanile comment. We're all so much better off knowing your maturity has retarted at a high school boy's level. Interesting, though, that you equate Miami Vice soundtracks with songs that "rock". No doubting we'll hear some Van Halen or Rush on some late night syndicated episodes.
Easy, now...back under your rock. That's a good troll. Good troll.
I got this info from Wikipedia, (pretty easy).....Kiss guitarist, Ace Frehley, covered "New York Groove" on his self-titled solo album in 1978. Frehley's version reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has been a regular staple of Kiss live performances, during tours in which Frehley has taken part.
The song Voices rocks! After listening to couple other samples, most of it sounds like generic forgettable songs from forgettable late 80's early 90's movies.
So why would we email you if your wife wants to know about him? Give me her email and her phone number...I'll hook her up, if you catch my drift! She hot? She a chick?
Voices was on one of the first episodes of Miami Vice, so you know it rocks.
