Savage Circus

Power metal group Savage Circus was first imagined in 2004 by veteran German drummer Thomen Stauch (ex-Iron Savior, Lucifer's Heritage, etc.) prior to his exit from Blind Guardian. Stauch was working on new material in the vein of old Blind Guardian when former bandmate Piet Sielck (bass, rhythm guitar, and a founding member of power metal godfathers Helloween, if you didn't know) recommended he reach out to vocalist Jens Carlsson and guitarist Emil Norberg -- both members of like-minded Swedish act Persuader -- and gauge their interest in working together. The younger musicians jumped at the chance and, over the course of the next year, collaborated on music with Stauch and Sielck via long distance, gradually compiling enough songs to record Savage Circus' debut album, Dreamland Manor, released in 2006 by Century Media Records. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi

Did Hansi do guest vocals for Savage Circus? Because that is definitely Hansi's voice.
Jesus I thought this was an old Blind Guardian Song I hadn't heard, Have a new band I enjoy quite a bit now!.
They were on a record label called Dockyard 1.
Savage Circus is amazing! ...but but who is dockyard 1?
When I first heard this band, I thought it WAS an old Blind Guardian track I had never heard before, and when I found that it was a different band that had all the kick-assness of old school BG and had Thomas in it I fell instantly in love. I'm definitely going to keep my ear out for more stuff from them in the future.
Good, but not nearly as enjoyable as old BG. I doubt they will ever write a Valhalla or Sanctuary.
This is pretty good but no Blind Guardian.
I'd be inclined to disagree craig, A Twist in the Myth was amazing. Regardless, this is pretty good. It has an older sound to it.
murphy42
sounds like Quiet Riot when he starts screaming
I believe it is Yngwie, any way it does sound like early Blind Guardian. I myself like it. It is better than some of the
stuff that Blind Guardian has put out as of lately. I like my metal a certain way, and lately Blind Guardian has
been off on a tangent or two. I know that a band has to grow, but sometimes it seems they are trying too hard
to leave the whole power metal genre behind.
Not really. Sounds a LOT like early Blind Guardian (and it was meant to) and rules. I'm upset Persuader doesn't have music on this site. They rule.
sounds alot like Ingwyie Malmsteens earlier days but the lead guitar is alot slower :-)
