Also known as Petra Marklund, September is a dance-pop singer and performer from Sweden. Born in 1984, by the time Marklund was 18 she had a record deal and a collaborative production team behind her, ready for chart domination. Her debut single, "La La La (Never Give Up)," was a Top Ten hit in Sweden, and September released her first album in 2004. Her follow-up, In Orbit, was also awash with hit singles, and the track "Satellites" made minor waves in America. In 2007 September participated in the Sopot Festival, and released her next album, Dancing Shoes. Although her singles were all fairly strong sellers in her native country, her albums fared a bit less well, with Dancing Shoes being the highest charting work at number 12.
