when I hear this, I always think of someone I once knew. I want to be there for her, but I can't, and it hurts to know that. but I still look for her, even now...
This song is a dedication to SARA who committed suicide right after she turn 18, she was my daughter's best friend. May the Lord take care of her for all the suffering she experience here in her short life.
My best friend asked if I would think of her every time I heard this song. That was more than 40 years ago. My friend is gone but I do still think of her every time I hear it.

Art Garfunkel - what a voice. Perfection. And those bridges between verses are remarkable.
Simon and Garfunkel are eternal. I'm 18 and every time anything gets me stuck in life, Simon and Garfunkel usually have something to say on the subject.
When I was in high school back in 1969, my teacher, who was a catholic nun, always had this album on the record player during art class...This brings back many, many good memories of those art classes many years ago.Thankyou Sr.Lucy for being inspirational in your teachings of art and music. It's because of you I have become an artist and musician. How much better can it get?? Thankyou
