Central Park Live was always fine

That missing 4th verse you site wasn't on the studio version of the song, only on the live version.

Thx bhm5! One of the best & most thoughtful of the verses. Great song, great duo, great venue - city so nice they named it twice - NY, NY!

The lyrics are wrong! How could anybody totally skip a whole friggin' verse?! The missing 4th verse is as follows:
Now the years are rolling by me
They are rocking easily
I am older than I once was And younger than I’ll be
But that’s not unusual
No, it isn’t strange
After changes upon changes We are more or less the same
After changes we are More or less the same

You can't put anybody in the same light as Simon and Garfunkel. This is their song!

Wow I like this song but I have to concur that the Mumford and Sons cover was excellent. They are both great. Shame to see people so adamantly against mum and sons they make great music compared to a lot of stuff being made these days.

Mumford and Sons? Not even close. What are you, mariannestor y 3 , some kind of a Pandora troll?

How many other songs constant as much perfection in attention to detail and atmosphere as this wonderful piece? Easily the best work from an A-grade back catelogue and that is saying something.

Please share..... I'd like to hear it.

the lyrics are missing an entire verse because they were the missing lyrics. they were intended to be on the recorded version, but were replaced. since then, they have been sung live, but they don't show up on the lyrics section.

sounds corny but it was the soundtrack of our lives, some of us hahahah...

Heard this first in my college apartment in Minnesota in the '60's. Now I'm in my 60's. Still love S&G, together or solo. Great lyrics, always.

I've seen them three times over the course of their career and Simon solo once. there is none better and after fourty years they still move me

I love that this track has the extra verse including "After changes upon changes, we are more or less the same; after changes we are more or less the same." Some deep wisdom here that strikes me differently every time I hear it.

it amazes me that at the age of 41 this song comes on the station and i am transported back in time to driving along the highway with my dad in his 1965 corvette stingray convertible and trying to follow along with him singing to the song..GREAT TIMES AND A MUCH SIMPLER WORLD THEN.
