Amen Tracey! This is one of my favorite S&G songs. It is very haunting. Paul Simon is a very talented songwriter. Garfunkel was just kind of along for the ride.
Yes, except everything is God, so this beautiful music is of God, and it worships the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as you say. How could it be any other way?
Agree wholeheartedly with April, disagree heavily with Kimberly, but we're all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs. :)
I think this is one of the most beautiful and honest love songs I have ever heard - and so powerful as a poem as well. I thought the line was "weave their weary paths and die" ... which makes it more powerful, to me, but I could be mistaken.

Actually, the only truth is God. They sure made beautiful music, but I feel their talent was largely wasted on depressing and immoral songs. If only they had had written songs of praise and worship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
"Kathy's Song" by Simon and Garfunkle may be my favorite love songs...and it's wonderful poetry. Not only that but the guitar echos the rain so beautifully. ...."and as I watch the drops of rain/weave their weary paths and lines/I know that I am like the rain/ there but for the grace of you go I."
As they sing - I'm in that room watching the drops of rain weave their weary paths - this is such a visual song. I see what he sees, feel what he feels, ... Simply my favorite S&G song.
