i have no words dor the utter epicness...
probably. I mean, Luke was the new hope. . .
i believe this track refers to luke being born instead of the actual movie a new hope? i dunno

Why the survey of music from episodes IV-VI? It just seems odd to have them in Episode III when you'll hear them all again.
@Colin Asam James Rideout I can see what you mean, but if that were the case then the modern day prequels should be expected to evoke emotional response just as strongly, too, since they had the same composer. I think the camaraderie between Luke and Han, the love between Han and Leia, the goals of the rebels, the true power of the Force, and the evil of the Empire are much more believable in the original trilogy.

The Horn part gives me chills. I want to play for an orchestra like this.
John Williams is my hero

Ooohhh!
I would love to watch Star Wars with people who haven't seen the movies or heard the theme music yet and vicariously experience it for the first time through them! I love Star Wars music.
A nice topical overview of the entire first trilogy's motifs and themes. Undoubtedly, the music makes Star Wars. Without the stirring emotional responses to the score, the original trilogy wouldn't have been half as impressive.

Hearing the New Hope theme makes me want to look over my shoulder to keep an eye out for incoming TIE Fighters...
epic music for a epic movie

movies=corny
music=beyond awesome , or this universe
Star Wars Orgy in my ears... Blam goes my ear drums..
basically a complimation of the scores from the original trilogy.
That is a very good question, Lauren. I guess George Lucas and John Williams are no longer on the same level? I kinda feel like Mr. Lucas has gone downhill in the last 10-15 years. :(
The piccolo is a little too loud, but otherwise this is awesome. But I can't help wondering WHY the movies themselves couldn't have been as awesome as this soundtrack is. :( :( :(
and now we wait ... sad face

This is the most gratuitous song ever! It's a gluttony of Star Wars melodies. Oddly enough, I like it.
