Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation considers it vitally important that children experience their enormous potential for creativity, imagination, discipline, self-esteem, confidence, and the social, emotional and cognitive benefits that come from playing music. MHOF donates instruments to school and after-school music programs that are often a motivating factor for a child to stay in school.

Thousands of students each year, and many more over the life of the instruments, will be able to reap the lifelong benefits of a music education.
