Listening to Patty Loveless eventually led me to Mary Chapin Carpenter. Like a house who's rooms open up to one another, each a different style, with different furniture and wallpaper. Each with something new to discover.

I've discovered that I absolutely love her music! Like Patty, Mary Chapin Carpenter rides the fringes of the country music world today...and it's a shame. Both of them are as priceless as a forgotten abandoned house in the back country!!! At least, that's my opinion. :) Both of them cling tight to country's original roots but add in contemporary flavor.

I hope to hear a lot more from Mary. She's great.
