Chances are, if you've seen any movies since 1990, you've heard this composer: Hans Zimmer.

Accolades are not enough for this brilliant artist: he's received Oscars and Grammys for his original scores of more than 80 films!

But this site is also dedicated to similar artists, who are also brilliant composers.

Mars Lasar is Australia's answer to Hans Zimmer...even though Hollywood hasn't discovered him yet. He is also a thematic composer with a broad artistic range. Too bad there are only 3 of his 20+ albums on Pandora.

But this set wouldn't be complete without Vangelis, who has inspired me since "Albedo 0.39". "Chariots of Fire" was the first score of his I ever heard, and he has continued to excel ever since.
