30 million records and one headless bat later, Ozzy Osbourne still reigns as the ultimate heavy metal heavyweight. Ozzy launched his career in the late ‘60s as the lead singer of the seminal metal band Black Sabbath, popular for its dark lyrical themes and heavy metal sound. In 1978, Osbourne left Black Sabbath to pursue various solo projects, but has remained a bona fide rock god whose albums – like Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon and No More Tears – will always be regarded as metal masterpieces. Over time, Osbourne has overcome both drug addiction and public criticism, landing firmly on his feet and back on the throne as the Prince of Darkness.

Ozzy Osbourne takes the stage at VH1 Rock Honors alongside fellow honorees Genesis, Heart and ZZ Top – with a special musical tribute by Queens of the Stone Age. Additional performers include Alice in Chains, Keane, Nickelback and Gretchen Wilson.
