mixed Heavy Metal

I have kindof a dream in the future for creating a genre of music that's like happy heavy metal. I love the guitars & drums & music of metal, but often it's too dark for my taste, and I don't really get into vocals that sound like the guy is hacking up phlem. (Although I can get past that to be able to enjoy the music and words of songs that happen to have those kind of vocals). This station is based on three metal bands with great lyrics and music: Tourniquet, Extol, and Haste the Day. To brighten the mood of the station, it is(was) equally based on the awesome ska band Five Iron Frenzy, and a punk/irish folk style band Flogging Molly. I have recently separated this into two stations: one metal and one ska & irish-flavored punk so I can restrict it to one if I'm not in the mood for the other and have them mixed with the quick mix option.
..This mix has produced a rather wide range of mostly-christian metal. My three favorite christian metal bands which I used as seeds for the station are each pretty different from each other: Disciple (almost more like hard rock than heavy metal, mostly clean singing), Tourniquet (older-style thrash metal), and Haste the Day (I think it's whats known as metalcore or screamo -I'm not real good with all these metal subgenres), and then there's Extol which is a christian version of brutal death metal.
