Sounds of the British Empire and Commonwealth
created by: Silas Whowood
January 27, 2009

There is no doubt that the British Empire left many legacies around the world. One of them was in music. Like any colonials, the British brought their own music with them. They were acculturated by the native forms of music wherever they were and native forms were influenced by the sounds of the British Isles. Like the language they brought, the mix of influences brought new forms. This is my attempt to bring both the sounds of the mother country together with others in Canada or Australia or other parts of the now Commonwealth. Let's see how Pandora handles my experiment and what it comes up with in analyzing this legacy. Remember, you are listening to Pandora powered, WC3PO, Symmzinnati, Ohio.
