So much of modern music has its roots in rhythms that were brought to the new world with African slaves. Especially in places where large slave populations were concentrated, like Brazil and Cuba, these drumming traditions and their complex rhythmic patterns and songs to the African deities have been preserved. Practitioners of these traditional drumming styles are found here on "Afro Drumming". Eventually, native African musicians who practice these drumming styles will also show up here, but they are severely under-represented on Pandora to date.
