To be clear, I don't have anything against male singers and male musicians. Far from it! I'm primarily a rock and roll girl who also listens to a lot of singer-songwriter/folk type music and recognize that, on the whole, men make better rockers. That said, I also know that there are tons of great female singers/musicians out there and I just wasn't getting to hear them. After so many days filled with hours and hours of nothing but male voices I really began feeling a distinct lack of music I could personally relate to. So I created this station for the times when I want to hear from artists singing from a perspective similar to mine.
