Before the power ballads of the 80's and 90's hair metal bands, there was the power pop of the 70's. This station was programmed with some of the bands that survived the rift of punk, new wave and disco. Bands like Sniff 'N The Tears, The Babies, Cheap Trick and Sweet. Bands that flew under the national music radar but were dominating in their local markets. Caught between the anthem rock of Kiss, Boston, Journey and Styx were artists like Donnie Iris and City Boy who's albums (yes, I said ALBUMS) seemed to miss the next shipment out of localsville. This is great music, not chart fodder, but real, good music.
