Growing up near a beach, I was once addicted to the ocean and any type of sport associated with it. My friend had a beach house, and we spent countless summer days surfing from pre-sun up until after the sun had set. When I listen to Jack Johnson, I'm reminded of a time when hours seemed so much more plentiful, and all that really mattered was spending those hours in the water.

There are few artists who have earned my respect as much as Jack Johnson. I can't think of another artist who was once a professional surfer and has found equal professional success in music. I truly enjoy Jack's lyrics, and find his rhythms inspiring.
