Since it started in 2002, the Austin City Limits Music Festival has grown up from a two day gathering of a few folk artists to become a three day extravaganza on par with national music festival giants like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Coachella.

For three days in September, Zilker Park in the heart of Austin, Texas becomes the center of the music world. ACL’s quick rise to popularity can be attributed to its combination of artists from across genre, including but not at all limited to indie, rock, blues, world/ethnic traditional and contemporary, eclectic, reggae, fusion, electronic, soul, folk/Americana, and bluegrass.

This year’s headliners include Foo Fighters, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Beck, Manu Chao, David Byrne, The Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley just to name a few. 130 bands in total are expected to keep the music flowing across eight stages.
