@johnje97, 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 suggests that when a Christian dies, he goes to be with the Lord. The idea that the soul sleeps until the resurrection isn't really supportable, Biblically speaking, and it's a minority of Christians who believe it.
So many have expressed my very thoughts about this incredible man of God. As I sit here at 5:07 in the a.m., I have the greatest sense of peace and purpose about my life that I have had in a long, long time. Jesus literally holds us in his arms when we feel that we are falling and can't stop. I thank God every day for artist such as SCC. He is the consummate Christian artist of the day.
His daughter isn't in heaven. She may be taken there when Jesus comes, but when you die, you don't go straight to heaven or hell. You're sleeping until Jesus comes.

I love Steven Curtis Chapmans music, the words speak to my heart and you can tell he puts himself in his music. God uses music to speak to me sometimes and it's mostly when I'm listening to Stevens music. May God continue to bless you and your family with every blessing under heaven. see is absolutely beautiful... m o v e d to tears especially knowing the story of his little girl. The song Cinderella was the father-daugh t e r dance at my wedding in 2008...I grew up listening to his songs that are so genuine and heartfelt. Even though I think most christian music is kind of fluffy Stephen Curtis Chapman remains an exception. Even in times when I've strayed from my faith his songs have soothed and convicted my wayward heart.

I went to his concert in VT it was AWESOME!!! Wishing I had met him but still cool:) Andrew Peterson and Josh Wilson were there to. another cool thing... SCC never mentioned himself he only mentioned everyone else!! We were also the first audience-on that tour- to give him an encore!!!:): D

Steven's music has been a source of encouragemen t , hope and joy over the years. His life, as we know, has not always been easy. But his walk with the Lord has enabled him to make music instead of despairing. His music is a modern-day version of the book of Philippians in terms of communicatin g joy!!
SCC is beyond talented! I heard a great story, paraphrased, where another Christian singer was cutting an album and needed one more song for their track. Steven said he could use one of his, the Christian singer (can't remember his name!) thinking that he had about 15 songs to choose from. SCC said, I have about 100 songs to choose from. How cool is that? This man doesn't just sing about the Lord, he KNOWS the Lord.

Where is Re-Creation I'm a little disappointed that Pandora doesn't pick up new work more quickly.
I listen to his music all the time. When I am down the songs give me hope and peace of mind knowing that my Heavenly Father is with me at ALL times. He has me wrapped in His arms and nothing can happen to me that He does not let happen. I am a teacher in a high school and there are times I wonder why? but with the music I am reminded why everyday. Keep up the good work Stephen. I love your music and it gives me hope and confirmation about my Savior.

Steven was one of the very first Christian artists I listened to. His music speaks to me. I believe that Jesus caught my attention through the music, but His word is what keeps me coming back. I thank Steven and other artists like him who ministered the Word to me through music. Praise God!

I find it REALLY WEIRD that this guy popped up on a station that regularly plays Alkaline Trio.

Surprisingly , he's not that bad.

When I heard the song about his daughter it got to my very depths of my heart, I can relate because I was watching my daughters little boy about 11 months old and had fed him in the high chair. He got down and I went down to find him and patio door was opened. My heart sunk because I had above ground pool, which he only crawled and was surprised to find him there. He lived 4 days. My daughter never blamed me! Police came and as God works he was a christian. So the song reach into my heart. Time!
