blus harp is very special, and very much a part of American culture, like blues itself. When I was living in Switzerland, it is Jazz/Blues that they want in places like Montruex. not Taylor Swift etc. etc.

Dude used to rock out the old Change of Pace at THE Western Illinois University back in the late 80's too!
I saw Studebaker John in a little pub in the tiny village of Hook in Wiltshire UK. There could only have been about 50 people in there - brilliant, a night to remember.
Caught this dude playing backup band to Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown approx 2-3 years before Gatemouth passed. Absolutely Phenomenal. A definite must see!
I will need to look for this guy. Awesome rhythm and beat. I will look for his shows in the future.
I LIVED in Chicago in the early '90's (Belmont, Clark and Halsted intersection ) and I never heard of this guy until a minute ago on here. I can't believe I missed out on this guy! I traveled a lot so maybe I just missed it but geez, what a great show this must have been!
Used to see Studebaker John play in Chicago blues clubs in the early 90s. Life was good then!
