I say this as high school play. It was good. I NEVER KNEW THAT THEY HAD SWEENY TODD ON HERE! (O.o)
For whatever reason, I prefer dark and scary plays. xD
I love this musical.

@lbel26- I always assumed he hesitated since he wanted it to be at the right moment, as Turpin's murder was the reason he returned to London. This play has always slightly worried me in the way that it gets me to sympathize with a murderer, like you said.

@Senga - and the further dramatic irony when you've seen the show or movie before, and know that Todd should not keep hesitating if he wants his revenge, meanwhile he's all happy and whistling. Lol, the story and music are so great that they get me to feel sympathy for a murderer XD
I love this song.
Horrible whistling.

great show
@little6c: yeah, I like Johnny Depp's singing voice better than this guy, but it is downright WEIRD to hear Professor Snape sing!
I love the part where they're humming and whistling together. They sound so carefree and light....oh the dramatic irony...in which the audience knows something the hapless judge does not
The movie version I must say was better, but you have to give it up to the Originals!
i can whistle, but not so well to hit the notes so perfectly like he does. i like the part where he sings "catching fire" also when he sings "blowing out their candles or..." and then when it alludes to "my friends" again.
