Deaf???? Yeah, they're also pretty good if you enjoy heavy riffs & great musicianship too. Also, if you're going to bag on a band or any artist, at-least use good grammar, you should have said THEY'RE alright if YOU ARE deaf.
The more and more I listen the louder and louder I turn it up. Not a fan of the Warp Rider album. Gods of Earth and Age of Winters albums need to be listed to in full and loud.
Hell yeah, THE SWORD just keep getting better and better as they go and never stray from their sound. Like their other albums, Apocryphon is undeniably one awesome record chockfull of power from start to finish. If you're just now tuning in to this band I suggest you go to your local record store or iTunes and buy their albums.... NOW!!!
i find nothing wrong with the singing....it's appropriate for the unrefined oldschool feel to the music...wether that was intentional or not is irrelavent
I've seen them three times, Denver/Albuquerque/Santa Fe - I listen to nothing but the Sword in my car, and I love them. They have become my absolute favorite band, as I have never heard more perfectly executed rock music in my life. I can't pick one album over another as better, but I have a soft spot for Age of Winters. All JD's songs are epic. Dueling guitars on How Heavy This Axe... a slower groove on Lawless Lands, or an epic journey with Lament for the Aurochs, all amazing.
