Saw them in concert last year for my birthday and got front row seats. Amazing musicians, and just hilarious when speaking to the audience about the background of their songs. If you get a chance . . . GO!

Jeff Aubin--The CD liner notes identify the three tunes in the "St. Kilda Set" as "Leaving St. Kilda," by Pipe Major W. Ross, "Major W. Knox, M.C." by G. MacDonald, and "The Highland Brigade at Magersfontein" by Pipe Major John McLellan D.C.M.

Someone should get Scythian touring with them. Yeah those bands should do an international tour together. If you haven't heard anything by Scythian I highly recomend them.

Does anyone know what the tune of the st.kilda set. It sounds familiar I could be wrong but I assume St. Kilda set isn't the name of the whole tune.
I saw these guys at great smaller venue, and it was one of the best events I have ever gone two. You can close your eyes and see how the music intertwines, and that is how you know it's a great band!
Listening to the St. Kilda Set, I love their use of bagpipes.

Yes! And I missed them just two weeks ago about 15 miles from home because I wasn't watching the papers! Darn!

I don't know why, but I'm drawn to Scottish and Irish music and the lore/lifestyle. I must look this up on geneaology.com. This music is great stuff. That from a backwoods Texan.
