Lyrics

You call me a dog, well, that's fair enough
'Cause it ain't no use to pretend you're wrong

You call me out. I can't hide anymore
I have no disguise you can see through

... if this sounds like country, then country is trying to keep up with rock. And name me one (country artist) that can sing anywhere near Chris! Awesome song. Lot of emotion in a song doesn't mean it's country... maybe alot of root.... remember why Temple of the Dog came in to be in the 1st place. They made great music together!

Chris C has such an angelic voice that is highlighted here. Notice the bluesy stylizations he begins with. Rock and Roll's distant origins are in the blues, after all. There is a sexuality to his singing that is far more erotic than any of his peers. As the song progresses Cornell fills his voice with more and more emotion. Near the end as he is crying out at full volume along with the guitar solo, his virtuosity is obvious. If you can't see that then something is seriously wrong with you.
