Praise & worship singer and songwriter Todd Agnew was born March 15, 1971, in Dallas, TX. With a kind of indie rock approach, pop-oriented style, and unique voice (which at times takes some getting used to), Agnew's spiritually directed songs aren't quite like anything else in the contemporary Christian market. Basing himself in Memphis, TN, and working through Ardent Records, he has released several albums with the label, including Grace Like Rain (2003); Reflection of Something (2005); his ambitious retelling of the Christmas story, Do You See What I See? (2006); and Better Questions (2007). Agnew relocated back to Texas in 2008. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
we were blessed to participate in a fundraiser event for The Hope Center in Oroville, CA on May 18, 2012 - the first time I had heard this artist in person - we went because our friend Stephanie Hayden was going to be singing - we were extra blessed with Todd Agnew's worship music and the lyrics are very moving - as in moving to tears! We were also blessed with Johnny Diaz's sense of humor through this story-song-telling. It was a great evening!
What is there about getting used to his voice?? It's amazing! Can't help but wonder what music Steve Leggett listens to. If this isn't his favorite genre, he should allow someone else to write these kinds of artists' profiles!

Wow, great artist - Great worship music - Todd you are truly a gift from God!!!!
I haven't heard this song in forever. Halleujah, I found it! ;)

I like that his music is gritty. Following the path to GOD is often messy yet beautiful. His music can reach a wider, more diverse audience. He writes and sings to sinners not the choir

Todd is an amazing artist. He is incredibly humble and when he writes, it's like he's in my head and heart pulling out all the things I think and feel.

Best concert I have Ever been to.....felt so close to God. Todd's lyrics are so Real and so different. Luv it!
He's hit every emotion and mental hang up I've ever been through- thanks Todd! Ducktape, how awesome you've met him. I'll have to wait til I get to heaven, though my husband played for a long time at the juvenile center downtown Jacksonville. He plays guitar and classic piano, and writes his own music, mostly God and country. I've figured God gave us (Christians) this country, as every other religion has there own nation. But we're not willing to stand up for it.Sorry if I stepped on toes!
I love his music! He is involved in the Recovery ministry at the church I am in and I have gotten to know him over the last year. He is a great man of God. It has been amazing to see the man behind the music love Jesus in real life.
Wow where do I start? I have seen Todd twice in concert. If you ever get the chance to you, you will be so thankful! He has truly been blessed by GOD. He keeps you wanting more. He is the best story teller and a man of GOD! His music has helped me to have a better relationship with GOD. I would recommend him to any age group!
My Jesus...........It's makes me realize that our walk needs to be real and out there

About a month ago Todd came to our church after service he performed and spoke. Wow, it was great. I wish I could have stayed after to meet him but couldn't. If you have a chance to see him perform, do it. God is really in his life and he is so down to earth.
Love, love love Todd Agnew! my parents went to see him live, I', so jealous!!!

Why are you advertising Mastodon on this site? It's in direct oppostion to what you stand for?
Todd Agnews music is the first to come along since Rich Mullins that reaches deep inside to a place that I can't allways explain but I can connect with.
I think perhaps it is the seriousness of his music that makes it so powerful, love his stuff, never tire of the truth and honesty in his music...something I don't always see in other "Christian" artists

agnew is a talented artist with some obvious potential, but he's gonna have to let go of some of that self-seriousness if he is ever gonna be a popular, respected artist.
His music is heartfelt and unique. It reflects his deep love of the Lord.
