I agree with Lissa again! I love this song more than most of Tom Petty's repertoire, but it's soooo miles away from songs like American Girl that it's not fair to compare them.

it was too cool when tom played himself in "the postman"...although he wouldn't cop to his name...you get the idea. anyway, this song has always been a steady rocker. Definitely different in his day.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker s is one of the best bands of all time.
I've created a "radio station" around this powerful song. I agree with the "features" listing of this song, except that they left out the powerful base and drums. Its one of TP&H's best.
