I like how it progresses. It is really relaxing and it is different from other Tool songs. Tool is a diverse band, which is why they are so fun to listen to.
think of this song as the disposition of reflection for right in two. I personally had to listen to this one a few times, felt it was missing something. But now I love it! Pure as we begin. Ruled by will alone. Very spiritual song also. Can't wait for the new album
Disappointed? Wow, I can't say that... Did you see the tour? This is a natural next step in their progression, imo. It's a little more abstract toward the end, but the musicianship in this song, for instance, is unparalleled in today's music scene. The best rock bands out there today are The Melvins, Tool, and the Deftones, and not necessarily in any particular order.
I'm slightly dissappointed with 10,000 days. Its very hard for me to listen to it all the way through. Pretty much I stop after hearing Rosetta Stoned (amazing BTW)...Its not like Aemina or Lateralus which are more diverse and interesting all the way through.
