Total Chaos

Riverside, CA punks Total Chaos formed in 1988, comprising singer Rob Chaos, guitarist Gary Doom, bassist Joe E. B**tard and drummer Gearbox at the time of their self-released debut LP We Are the Punx, We Are the Future. Doom exited the group soon after, and upon installing new guitarist Ronald McMurder, Total Chaos signed to Epitaph, issuing Pledge of Defiance in 1994. Second guitarist Germ joined the fold for 1995's Patriotic Shock, but by the time of the follow-up Anthems from the Alleyway only Rob Chaos and Joe E. B**tard remained from the previous album, with the line-up now including guitarist Shawn Smash and drummer Suzy Homewrecker. By early 1998 rumors were circulating that Rob Chaos had died; although the stories were untrue, it was confirmed that Total Chaos had disbanded, although by September the group reformed minus Homewrecker, who was (according to the official Total Chaos website) stealing the band's T-shirts, selling them at a discounted price and keeping all of the profits herself. With new drummer Traci Michaels, the quartet signed to Cleopatra and issued In God We Kill in mid-1999; Electric Lady followed later that same year. Punk Invasion appeared in spring 2001. ~ Jason Ankeny

hey punk guy, you missed the point altogether, Freedom kills was just a quoit from Bush, saying they fight for freedom, and if that's freedom, then freedom kills, its about American lies of freedom, as for Robbie, just a lair all together with nothing better to do then make up s**t because he has no life of his own

Really punky watching the d*ck with a microphone make fun other others dress and say F that heavy metal sh*t on their pledge tour at show in ATL.
What was funny was watching true punks go to the stage and spit on him and give him the #1 fan salute, while he just stand there and ask the other bands afterwards, who were those people?

Snob Crap-os= poseur extraordinai r e

I met these Guys in Newport VT back in 2007, after they were denied entry at the Canadian border. Hung out drank with them and watched them play a 3 song set while local cover band (Nomad) where on break.

anarchy is about lack of all forms of order. and freedom as we know it, is a form of order. that song is an outcry against american (dis)order

you dummy punk guy anarchy is about control. anyways just wanted to say hi to riverside. miss you but not that much. loving it up here in the land of the real free... MONTANA!

Ummm, why do they claim anarchy when they have an album called "Freedom Kills"? Maybe I'm a stickler, but I always thought that anarchy was freedom, total freedom. Also there is the suggestion that freedom is American, when in fact freedom has existed for as long as humans have drawn breath. You'd have to be a total f**king moron to believe that freedom is American. TC rocks musically, but in terms of message(some t h i n g that is crucial to a punk band), they are idiots.
