Great band! They're older stuff is the best, they toned down vocals and eliminated keyboard in newest album. Too bad they broke up, they were something special!
Anyone else think the vocalist sounds like Axl Rose sometimes? Especially when he puts that extra "screaming" element into his voice. Exactly like Axl, but with a Finnish accent.
@xyzayk: Not quite - Champions Online is by folks who WERE involved with City of Heroes, back in the early days (like how some of the WoW team left to make Guild Wars).
From what I've heard it has a story so bad that it doesn't even work as intentional satire. The friends of mine who were all excited about it played it for a while and realized they'd rather just go back to CoH.
CoH is great if you have a firm grasp of character building. It's almost too easy to completely ruin your character. The patches nerfing your abilities don't help either.
Unfortunately, not all the battles involve 1,000 foot sea monsters. A good number of them are your standard 'kill X generic bad guys'. And as with any RPG, grinding can get boring for all but the divinely patient.
It's a great MMO, but it has its flaws like all the others. There are other games for a reason.
I think I actually might be wrong about Tommi formerly being the vocalist though. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that he was the vocalist AND the guitarist, but that source could of been completely mistaken...
@ ST33L have you heard of champions online, it's made by the same people, I haven't played it before but it looks really cool. Yeah pandora needs that album. Isolation Shell it a great song.
Oh and btw, WoW is a damn joke. Play City of Heroes, now THAT is a f**king MMO. In WoW everyone looks the same, and the level cap is ridiculous. In CoH, the customization and detail is INCREDIBLE. You can customize virtually EVERYTHING, from giving your character wings, capes, horns, elecricity eyes, etc - to making your own custom missions and s**t. The PvP is WAY more epic, and so is the PvE. Can you picture several teams of people taking down a 1,000 foot sea monster? EPIC!!! F**k WoW.

Admittedly, they use a lot of the same words from song to song, but with different connotations. In particular, their new album is simply amazing, nearly perfect, and with enough variety to satisfy nearly anybody. If you're going to hate on a band, at least know what you're taalking about and form your own opinion, not conform to the drivel society at large has to cram down your throat.
To all people hating on DragonForce, hear or anywhere else, how many of their songs have you actually listened to? None of them sound the same outside of overall style, which is to be expected with any band.
Fever Pitch just showed up on my station and it definitely merits the thumbs up I just gave it. Looking forwards to discovering if the rest of their stuff is this good.
Everything I've heard off of Delirium Veil so far has been awesome! The other two albums are decent too.

Don't look up dragonforce if you like this, they're nothing alike. You want Avantasia, Dark Moor, Angra, Savatage, Dark Majesty, as well as all five of those artists Pandora lists as similar.
to lost at home 2002, have you ever written a song dude? Sometimes all you need is 4 chords. Their stuff is amazing no matter how many chords it contains. Do even know anything about music? Any theory background? Seems to me you don't know what you're talking about.
