The one good thing I can say for my ex-boyfriend is that he introduced me to Van Halen. ;) I love this song! And what's up with the lyrics? They seem super-clear to me. :P

Whenever someone says "80's music", this is always the first song to pop in my head. I'm not obsessed with the 80s like everyone else around me, but it is a truly awesome song.
But someone needs to put their EARS to the record machine and get the lyrics right!
this song is good, and all you people who make fun of suicidal people don't know how hard it is for them. Think about it, these people are so alone and depressed, that they are prepared to take their lives to escape it all. So you need to stop because it is a sick, sadistic and cruel thing to do, so knock it the **** off.
I think the lyrics are a little off i have been rocking to this tune for years and i know the lyrics and they messed up some of them. Still a good tune
This song was the beginning of the end for the band. It's too bad because this album had some of their best work on it like Panama and Hot for Teacher. But Jump was just a horrible sell out song and a bleak future for VH.

Who wrote these lyrics? Moron!

In Back To The Future it was earphones, not ear buds!
This song, like no other, reminds me of growing up in the '80's. It's amazing how much this transports me to being a ten year old, playing with my Castle Greyskull, while watching MTV and eating Spaghetti-O's.
the lyrics aint listed right. David Lee Roth never sings "I got my a$$ against the record machine". He says "I got my BACK against the record machine". GET YOUR LYRICS RIGHT PANDORA.
