The Wedding are an emo-tinged Christian punk band from Fayetteville, AR. Formed when the bandmembers were still in high school, the group's original lineup was singer and keyboardist Kevin Kiehn, guitarist Trevor Sarver, bassist Cody Driggers, and, following a string of part-time drummers, Clint Robinson. Originally playing under the name Easier Said, the band toured the alternative CCM and Christian punk circuit for a couple of years, eventually signing with Rambler Records, the alt-rock imprint of Christian music mainstay BHT Entertainment. Following a self-released demo EP sold on the group's tour stops and MySpace page, the young bandmembers -- now calling themselves the Wedding -- recorded their debut album with producer Mark Lee Townsend (Relient K) in late 2004. Released in the spring of 2005, the Wedding's self-titled effort spawned several hit singles on Christian radio, including "Move This City" and "Song for the Broken." The five-song EP Rumble in the South followed in the fall of 2005, but a period of personnel instability delayed the band's second proper album. Robinson left the Wedding in 2006, replaced by Joe "Rattlesnake" Rickard, formerly of the Christian rockers Sky Harbor. Meanwhile, bassist Jeremy Ervin, a high-school friend who had played in a very early iteration of the band, rejoined the Wedding, allowing Driggers to become the band's second guitarist. The Wedding's second album, Polarity, was released in the spring of 2007, preceded by the single "Say Your Prayers." ~ Stewart Mason, Rovi

LOVE the wedding! I could listen to the song "skitzophrenia" over and over and over. so hardcore yet clean and speaks Christian values, and that's hard to find!
life game rejects: the wedding is currently in the process of getting out a new full length, with switching the line-up and such they were lucky to have the time and mentel soundness to produce the sound and steel
They have a album called The Sound The Steel EP that is not posted here it is really good and the vocals are not bad they are just different so don't be haters
they sound soo cool!! i've only heard song for the broken but i really want to hear the rest of their album. great message too, i love bands that sound harder but are Christian. i can listen to those around my younger siblings.
I love this band.. fave song from them is misery loves company.

I don't cut, so I guess I'm not technically emo. Cutting is not the only thing that makes people emo, but some people put it in that category only. I'm actually slipping out of it. I think most of it was just teenage adolescence. You know?

so pursuethelight I dont get how you can be emo and christian...well I mean I guess i can but like cutting doesn't seem like something a christian would do. =S I guess I'm confused, whatever. lol these guys rock!

Totally awesome band! But not emo-tinged. I'm a christian emo and this is not emo, but amazing none the less. Great lyrics and aweseome heart for God. I'm in a drama group that does some outreach in my town and we're using one of their songs for one.
The wedding is from my home town. These boys saved my life, they're a fun bunch. Check out the new EP the sound the steel. Matt Shelton from Letter Kills is the new vocalist. HE IS AMAZING LIVE. :>
ROCK THE PARTY ROCK THE JAMS. and don't forget to GET ROWDY!
The name of that song is "Morning Air" and you'll find it on their self-titled album, "The Wedding." Also, if you listen to Effect Radio, they play them pretty frequently. If you don't have The Effect on your radio dial, go to effectradio.net and you can access music from there. :) The Wedding is one of my hubby's fave groups. If you like them, you'll also like Mae, The Classic Crime, Number One Gun, Hawk Nelson, Relient K and Edison Glass. Have fun discovering new music! :)
