Hailing from Chicago, the White Tie Affair make melodic, '80s-influenced pop/rock that also features a heavy dance-oriented sound informed as much by contemporary artists like Fall Out Boy and Justin Timberlake as the iconic Duran Duran and Loverboy. Featuring the combined talents of Chris Wallace (lead vocals), Sean-P (guitar, programming), Ryan Hollywood (keyboards, guitar), and Tim McLaughlin (drums), the White Tie Affair released their debut album, Walk This Way, on Slightly Dangerous/Epic Records in 2008. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
MUST READ THIS!!!!!! I'd just like to say to all of you posting these comments saying your going to die or date your crush are not true. You will not actually die or fall in love. Trust me, I've read one and never posted it. Someone just started it to freak people out. So can you please just chill out and stop? Repost to get the word around.
@Shannon, They broke up because their record company was trying to make them do music they didn't want to. Look for Chris' solo cd coming out next week
I remember seeing them in 2008, when we discovered them. They put on one of the best shows I have ever seen. Chris' voice is VERY talented and he is just as amazing live as he is on his album, if not better.
Saw them live at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle, and they were awesome. If you're a fan and have a chance to seem them live, they seem to play smaller venues (<1000 people) so you get a pretty up-close performance. That night they did a crazy medley of "Don't Stop Believing", "Paparazzi" and "I Gotta Feeling", which was definitely the highlight of the night.
