Such an epic song! (air guitaring and windmilling)

Townsend is freakishly talented. A true virtuoso -- he'd conceptualize every variable in each song, each movement, and could, then literally would record separate tracks for each instrument for his songs, then layer them together... Not unlike Paul doing post-production and laying down the drums in place of Ringo's efforts during a recording session. Townsend plays a dozen instruments and "IS" the Who.
Best song on Who's Next. I still remember the day Roger Moon died and the Who's concerts in Southern California were cancelled because of it. It's too bad Entwhistle and Moon didn't follow Daltrey's lead in living a drug free lifestyle.
Let's Get Together Before We Get Much Older. Got another get together with the mighty Who on 2-14-13 in Tulsa. Love the violin by Dave Arbus. Stellar. Peace.
All things Who are represented well in this song. The crowd at live shows loved this number from the opening note. It is such a great cornerstone on the Who's Next album. Keith lets it all out the end and the way he rides the cymbals are just stellar. I never grow tired of this song. Surprised by how many folks still call it Teenage Wasteland. Agree with kvnshop play it loud.

The intro. The drums. The guitar. The violin. Daltry's vocal. The way it ends. Brilliant.

like all the best songs, best played at HIGH VOLUME
Funny how a song can take you back to exactly where you were and the mood of the time when it came out...I was four years old, and I totally remember it playing on the radio, and that carefree innocent feeling I felt back then...Nice! :-)
There are too many great songs to put a label on any song as the best ever in my opinion. Each song has something great to bring to the table

amazing how the new generation is rediscovering the great music of the late 60's and early 70's, music that is actually music, not electronically reproduced sounds.
Ahahahahahaha, this is also the song from the newest Robot Chicken Star Wars episode.

@Justin Pooya Ebrahimian that was their working title, so therefore it's alright to call it that because that's what they called it when they were working on their 1971 album, however, the name came from the philosophical influences a Hindu Philosopher Mehere Baba, and musical influences from minimalist musician Terry O'Riley. So either way is alright.
