Yes were at their pinnacle here. Especially with the Yessongs tour etc. Soon after Bruford would depart for Crimson and the Wakeman would announce his departure. I do think the follow-up Relayer LP was though. Neat U-tube of the Anderson, Wakeman Bruford & Howe concert done in Calif back in the late 90's (?) So much fun to see them all together ('Cept Squire of course) playing all the old tunes. Spectacular

No words to describe this brilliance!!

I'm sitting in my office, trying to work, severely saddened by the death of Chris Squire last night, and this song comes on. I cannot hold back the tears.

stphdriggs,
I agree. I know Pandora has taken their lumps for some botched lyrics. But anything is better than nothing--esp e c i a l l y when Yes does their classic simultaneous lyrics.

Yes, this is definitely Yes at their height. Now, would someone at Pandora please ungarble the lyrics? In those middle shorter lines, there are two verses being sung simultaneous l y , so read every other line (Coins and crosses...) and they make more sense, (at least as much sense as Yes lyrics ever make...).

Rasputin, the whole album is masterful--c o n s i d e r e d by many to be truly quintessenti a l Yes. I do not know what would be considered weak about this piece? Please share your thoughts.

this is one of the few truly moving masterpieces in over 60 years of rock.

There are only a handful of songs that hit every chord in my body and soul. This is one of those songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. Hearing it live is one of the true moving experiences of life.

This is the song that I had my first meaningful sexual dalliance too. One of the most beautiful ever written.

Rick I thought the same thing. Great minds think alike

Such a beautiful song - one of my all time favorites. When I was younger, I thought the words All complete in the sight... were Oh complete imbecile... :-)

I can think of no other way to describe this song than simply wonderful. This is one of maybe 6 or 7 songs I've ever heard that feels like it speaks to my soul directly. Esp. around 3:45 in the song, it just feels like my heart is melting and I can remember all of the most loving experiences of my life at once. Amazing! :)

This wasn't our march, or dance, but it was on the tape we put together and played at our reception, 7-29-90.

i don't know what to call the noise that is made and pumped... spewed out all over today. THIS IS MUSIC!!! This was imagination (however inspired) expressed through sounds, and sights, and "seeds of life"!
My 11 yr old son LOVES "classic rock" and i turn him on to all kinds of stuff we had back in the 60s, 70s, and even into the 80s.
i think i'll go home and play some Yes for my kids!

This was our wedding dance too! 9-11-1982.Al s o played at my daughters wedding.

This was my wedding march.

I bought CTTE in 1978 without knowing a damned thing about Yes and it was my gateway drug to progressive rock. A stellar track on what is certainly Yes' finest album.
