Allure

The New York-based urban soul vocal group Allure was the first band to be signed to Mariah Carey's Crave Records. Such connections ensured that Allure would be promoted well and that their eponymous 1997 debut would have cameos by such stars as Nas, L.L. Cool J, Raekwon, 112, Q-Tip, and Carey herself, but it didn't ensure that the record itself would be a blockbuster. Instead, the album was a moderate hit, suggesting the group's commercial potential instead of fulfilling it.

The roots of Allure lay in the early '90s, when Alia Davis, Lalisha McLean, and Akissa Mendez were studying at the LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York. When the girls decided to form a full-fledged group, they recruited Davis' friend Linnie Belcher, who was studying at the Julia Richmond High School. For the next two years, they rehearsed and practised, eventually securing management connections which brought them to the attention of Poke, a member of the production team Track Masters. Poke worked with the unnamed group and soon signed them to Track Masters under the name Allure, and then helped the group sign with Crave Records.

Allure's debut single, "Head Over Heels," featured a rap by Nas and became a moderate R&B hit in April of 1997. The following month, the group's eponymous debut album was released. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi

All Cried Out. LISA LISA AND THE CULT JAM BABY. This is good but I would rather hear it by the original singer LISA LISA. I LOVE LISA LISA
Luv this song
Still wrong bio I suppose... :-(
Good song
ummm Power of You is a song by Tiesto's side project Allure - NOT the R&B girl group Allure
jqhudson
All Cried Out was originally sung by Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam (ft. Full Force). Best Version!
WTF! im listening to tiesto
Pandora is starting to really suck
Wrong bio Pandora .-.
To anyone else who notices the two distinct groups of artist's portrayed in the albums listed here, I sent Pandora an email asking them to update and relist the two different Allure's (R&B group vs DJ's) and their music correctly. Hopefully they can and will change it. :)
One of the girls look just like le toya luckett hmm
Ok. I'm a fan of BOTH groups, but there are 2 completely different groups that are in 2 completely different genres that are being described here. One is a 4-piece all-girl outfit that sings Soul/R&B (Allure & Sunny Days), and the other is an alias of the one-man-band : Tiesto (Kiss From the Past, Somwhere Inside & The Loves We Lost (Single)). Could someone kindly split the two of these up, on Pandora, somehow? Please and Thank you!
I remember buying the single to this song All Cried Out back when buying singles was commonplace LOL good times -the 90's!! I liked their version & I also auditioned for Richmond Idol a few years ago with this song (good times :) nothing like memories.
Most of us know allure not the original artist but they Did a beautiful job w/ 112 in a duet.... Pandora plays new & old music so much props to u Pandora keep up the good work much luv from Lady G<3
I remember when I met them when I used to live in NYC they came to my school. WOW that was years ago.
The song Somewhere Inside Me that's playing on my playlist now isn't by this R&B group Allure. Allure is also an alias for DJ Tiesto. You can't always trust Pandora :P

Great girl band that was overlooked. Love this song. Haven't heard it in years!
They weren't marketed well. This is my first time hearing this soon...Which is as beautiful as each of it's vocalists.
Love this song, still get emotional everytime I hear it.

great song! bring back some many memories
This is as good as the original by Lisa Lisa. The vocals are a little tighter on this one.
They did a good job with the remake, although I love the original version better... something about that song simply is touching
Y'all do know that "All Cried Out" is a remake. Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam w/Full Force recorded it originally.. . .
Still love this song...

This is aight and it's Good to see that Allure brought it back for the "younger" generation (lol).. . but IMO to get the FULL affect and PROFOUND meaning of this song....folk s need to PEEP the ORIGINAL by Lisa Lisa (accompanied by Full Force)...ENJ O Y !

Loved Lisa Lisa's version, but the addition of 112 to this song made it one of my favorites.
